Outpatient Therapy

We focus on health, well-being and overall independence
ABCM Outpatient Therapy Centers are community-based rehabilitation clinics offering physical, occupational, and speech therapy services on an out-patient basis to assist in regaining strength and mobility. We partner with local therapists or hire our own therapists to provide optimal care. Children's speech services have been added to some of our locations. At Clear Lake the ABCM Children's Pediatric Center specializes in speech, occupational and physical therapy.

Physical Therapy
The physical therapists provide evaluation and treatment utilizing exercises and therapeutic techniques to help patients increase flexibility, strength, endurance, balance, coordination, and decrease pain.

  • Muscle, joint and soft tissue injuries
  • Back and neck problems
  • Work injuries
  • Athletic injuries
  • Neurological problems (such as stroke and Parkinson's disease)

Occupational Therapy
The occupational therapists help individuals regain daily living skills which have been impaired due to an injury or illness.

  • Hand and arm rehabilitation and splinting
  • Industrial rehabilitation
  • Adaptive equipment training
  • Upper extremity exercises for strength, coordination and function

Speech Therapy
The speech language pathologist provides a specialized program for patients with speech, language, comprehension, swallowing difficulties, and communication disorders.

  • Oral motor exercises
  • Vital-stim therapy
  • Cognitive re-training
  • Neurological problems (stroke, Parkinson's, MS, etc.)
  • Auditory processing
  • Verbal expression
